Key Recovery Process

Step 1: Cut New Key
To cut a new key we need a key code assigned to your vehicle by the manufacturer. The easiest way to find your vehicle’s key code is to provide us with the vehicle’s registration papers and/or the service books. We can offer assistance in collecting this information if you have any questions or concerns.
Step 2: Program Immobiliser
The Immobiliser is the electronic unit, located inside the head of the key, which allows the car to start. Two methods can be used to accomplish this 1) Use diagnostic tools to prompt vehicle to learn new keys. 2) Remove vehicle’s immobiliser components and write keys directly into the circuit board. Please consult with one of our technicians before removing any vehicle parts or towing vehicle to our premises.
Step 3: Program Remote
This step is usually optional depending on the model of the vehicle. Usually, the remote part of the key simply locks, unlocks and sometimes releases the boot. A panic button or panic function can also be included. On rare occasions, the vehicle’s immobiliser can be linked to the remote, or the alarm system won’t disarm without the remote. Check with our technicians to assess this.
